MATT BIRK

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Matt retired from the NFL in 2013 after a victory in Super Bowl XLVII as member of the Baltimore Ravens.  A Minnesota native, the Vikings drafted Birk in the 6th round of the 1998 NFL Draft.  The Harvard graduate played 11 years with Minnesota, earning 6 trips to the Pro Bowl during that time.  Birk was named the 2011 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, awarded to one player who exemplifies excellence on and off the field.  When it was all said and done, Birk played 15 seasons in the NFL and in 227 games.

Since retiring from football, Birk has worked with and for the NFL League Office in a variety of capacities.  Currently a special advisor, Birk focuses on growing the game on the youth and high school levels.  He sits on the board of USA Football, the sport’s national governing body.

Matt currently lives in Minneapolis, MN, with his wife, Adrianna, and 8 children.
